Thread control is all automatic, just thread-and-sew, but within the setting with a quick touch on the cog icon allows changes to tensions for gathering if needed, this is also where you would set the twin needle width, language, safety width on/off and more. The stitch selection is printed inside the top cover and well as being available on screen to select. Each stitch when selected is shown in real size and can be adjusted in width (2.5 mm to 7.0 mm, in 0.5 mm increments) or length (0.0 mm to 4 mm, in 0.5 increments).

The quilt Ambition 635 offers some lovely patterns, I was impressed with the ribbon bow and how it was possible to enlarge it to 25 mm as well as shrink it down is size to 10 mm to get the perfect fit where I wanted to sew it.
